Dental Crowns & Bridges
Restore the function and appearance of your teeth.
A realistic-looking result.
To restore the size, form, strength, and function of a tooth that has decayed or been injured, a dental crown (tooth-shaped cap) is placed over the tooth. In order to provide a realistic-looking result, the dental crown(s) is custom-made in our clinic to fit over the natural teeth. At O’Donnell Dental Churchtown, we utilise world-leading CAD CAM technology to scan your tooth, create a digital 3D tooth model which is used to design the crown, veneer or bridge. The porcelain tooth is manufactured in our laboratory and fitted on the same day. No impressions, no temporary crowns, no waiting for a dental technician to make the crown.
A bridge is a series of crowns which are bonded together, bridging any gap left behind by missing teeth.
Crowns and bridges generally last for about 10-15 years. However, many patients will have their crowns and/or bridges for a lifetime.
